i absolutely love it when it snows like this. like someone took a patient scissors to a patch of clouds and sent the clippings down to litter our otherwise fairly unmagical terrain. i love it when the snowflakes are so enormous that you cannot catch one on your tongue without getting it also in your eye or nose. snow reminds me of peace, the heavens tucking the earth in with a downy blanket. reminds me of how God can comfort me- even when i feel all dead and ruined inside- and give me goodness and beauty that i may wait, and not be troubled, until spring comes when i will be renewed.
