what i think about recent self- photgraphs:

hollow eyes,
faking a sparklike im faking a smile
two gray and salt-stained circles

lips that call a frown
often trembling wild with fear
the red mark's still there

hair that is yet red
and soon will be going gray
short and sad looking

short and sad looking
thin shoulders bending down more and more
face that bears the scars of tears

im always looking
and never finding
a sight for my sore eyes
