in a city with miles of highway miles, and sidewalks that click underneath my stiletto heels. and bridges and rivers and water on all sides. i hide between my four thick walls. well wont you make me a map, boy, so i can find you somewhere. in the middle of the wasteland, polluted air. brick streets and avenues. i listen so closely for the tones of your breath. and i find you humming in your sleep. it's so easy to forget the time, so easy to find your lips. and i am drawn in by the capillary surface of a heart.
